My client, a busy Regulatory Body within Central London, are seeking a Contracts Manager to Lead 3 existing test providers in the UK. Supporting the contract management and set up of a new test centre.   This is on a 12-month fixed term contract.

Significant duties will include:

  • Be the central point of contact for the Test of Competence
  • coordinate and manage all activities related to the provision and maintenance of the organisations test of competence
  • Have the ability to apply continuous improvement solutions of the test delivery and its content
    • Take lead on the operational management of the contract with suppliers, ensuring all specifications are met and provide suppliers with performance management information
    • Proactively share information and manage all communications with external stakeholders around the project.
    • Maintain a risk and issues register
  • Produce and present business cases for senior management in support of proposals for change and development of the Test of Competence.
  • Management of external relationships, including contract management of third-party suppliers.
  • Design and manage the quality assurance of the test
  • Produce and present business cases for senior management in support of proposals for change and development of the Test of Competence
  • Manage multiple suppliers to balance commercial service quality, cost and control with flexibility, fairness and ease of access for potential candidates for the Test of Competence.
  • Support the NMC Test of Competence Board with secretariat skills and regular preparation of management information.
  • Other duties that may occur

To be considered for this 12-month FTC you must possess

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
  • At least 3 years contract management experience in a similar setting
  • Proven experience of statistical analysis and reporting management information
  • Experience in building effective networks across a full range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Training and or experience in the Lean Six Sigma methodologies would be desirable
  • Excellent oral, written and presentational skills.
  • Able to work through complex commercial contractual issues
  • IT literate and ability to use new software
  • Ability to establish a rapport with and confidence from others
  • Able to work with minimal supervision and highly motivated and flexible
