Conveyancing Secretary

Monday – Friday; 37.5 hours a week

Immediate start

 

A well-known and established High-End Boutique Law Firm located in Essex, is currently recruiting for an experienced Legal Secretary within Conveyancing, to join their legal team. You must have excellent attention to detail, be proactive and confident in liaising with Partners and senior professionals, with the ability to work under minimal supervision. Residential Property knowledge and experience is essential.

 

The role will include, but will not be limited to providing a wide range of secretarial duties;

 

Key Responsibilities;

  • Audio and copy typing
  • Land Registry applications
  • Taking calls
  • Dealing with client enquiries where necessary; telephone, email correspondence
  • Providing administrative support to Lawyers, Paralegals and Partner
  • Copying and Scanning
  • Liaising with other Lawyers and Paralegals; telephone, email correspondence
  • Drafting documents and letters
  • Proof reading and amending where necessary
  • Submitting SDLT returns
  • Applying for searches
  • Diary Management and organising meetings

Person Specification; Essential

  • Knowledge of Residential Property
  • 3-4 years minimum proven experience as a Legal Secretary in Conveyancing
  • An understanding and/or up to date practical experience of conveyancing procedures
  • Knowledge of Property Law
  • Focused and ability to multi-task
  • Flexible approach to work with a hands-on attitude
  • Professional, efficient and ability to prioritise workloads effectively
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Personable and self-motivated
  • Demonstrates excellent communication skills; written and verbal
  • Works well under pressure and meeting tight deadlines
  • MS Office; Word, Excel, PowerPoint knowledge
  • Ability to communicate with all clients and colleagues at all levels
  • Impeccable time management skills
